Pan Towners 2021 Car Show and Swap August 15th, 2021

Thanks to all of you, we were able to pull off a successful Car Show.
Because of the goofy times going on we had no idea what to expect and if car nuts were going to show up.
Well, they DID!! Our unofficial show car count was 603 cars. We had 50 club cars, some motorcycles and snowmobiles. We added 1 new class this year - traditional (or old school hot rods). Pickups continue to be hot, and the next generation of cars continues to grow. The 90ís and newer cars are popular with a lot of the people (not just kids) as they are easy to tune, increase horsepower, get parts for, and more reasonable to purchase. I suppose next we will have to start worrying about the electric cars. New classes galore.
The swap was still very busy as 350 swappers bought 420 swap spaces. Parts were seen leaving all day so either people came to buy or the prices were right - maybe both. The car corral had 89 cars in it which is a great sale area considering the times. Reports were a lot of cars actually did sell too.
We added a few new features this year to get more people interested in attending. We had a Dyno for people that wanted to check out their actual horsepower of their car - not what they think it might be according to the parts they installed.
We had free face painting and kids tractor pull which both had excellent turnout. Kids and parents both seemed to enjoy so they should return for next year. Itís always great to see kids come to a car show and really enjoy themselves.
People definitely came to eat as both the kitchen and food vendors were running out of food: either it was that good or they were that hungry. We filled the craft building and the crowds were busy all day. The gate crowd was also very good all day as we didnít know how cautious people would be or how they would react to crowds. But we were happy.
The ice arena with the old cars was very busy all day as people still enjoy looking at where cars came from and how they have progressed over the years.
The model car display was great and lots of people (again not just kids) enjoy looking at the little cars. So - again - THANX - to all the people and workers that made our 2021 Car Show and Swap a big success and so you can plan on being there in 2022 - August 21st - to be exact. Hope to see you all again to have fun.
