Dear Pan Towners,
This new year is off to a fast pace! By now you would have probably heard that we lost Kim Reinert at a rather young age. Kim always helped out at the car show. We will miss him. The benefit for him and his family will be February 27th details available from Julie Braegelmann (320) 597-2520.
If you missed the February meeting, you missed a fine young man, Kodie Roelofs, who won our scholarship from St. Cloud Technical College this May. The other scholarship was given to Lucas Campbell, who is a first year student. We have been invited to have one of our meetings at the college, and many members thought this was a good idea. Right at the moment, such a meeting is not convenient for either us or them. We will try for the Fall.
The Spring Banquet is coming up quickly. We are a bit low in attendance, so please send those applications or see Jim Rugg.
The Ditch Cleanup is scheduled for May 1st-put that on your calendar-Les and Fran will arrange food for all the volunteers.
Take note of a future date: PanTowner's Birthday Party will be held at the Moose on Saturday, November 13, 2010.
Just a word about the Board: Shawn Nelson, Lanette Brown, Barb Neske, Bill Lunser are doing a great job already early in this new year. We are lucky to have them, as well as returning Board members.
You will notice in this newsletter (March 2010) that the proposed Mission Statement is enclosed. As always, Mike Schmitt did a terrific job, as well as the 8 individuals on the committee. Take a careful look at the statement. A lot of thought went into it. It was presented to the Board in February, and it was passed unanimously. Now, it is up to the membership to approve the statement. If you can make the March meeting, we will be discussing the statement. We will then have the general meeting, we will be discussing the statement. We will then have the general membership vote on the statement in April. Above all, please note that the new statement does not represent a change in the by-laws.
With regard to the Reno Pan car, it will be in for repairs approximately April 1st, and plans are to enter it back into the Stearns Museum about the 1st of May.
Special thanks to Renee for helping Lanette to become very proficient in her new job as Treasurer. Thank You Renee!
On behalf of the 2010 Board, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our members for making the PanTowners the best car club in Minnesota!

1964 Ford
Econoline Pickup
Owner: Tom & Yvonne LynchThis truck spent most of its working life on a ranch in Montana. The rancher had quiet a large collection of classic cars, trucks, and tractors.
His wife said then out the storage sheds.
I found his sale ad in the Vintage Truck Magazine in the Spring of 2006. Yvonne and I purchased it and trailered it back to Becker.
Over a two year period we located needed stock parts. During this time the motor and transmission and some sheet metal work was done by my brother, Richard. The finish, sheet metal work was done by club member, Les Brekke.
Currently it is running and looking like it just came out of the factory. We are enjoying this vehicle both for cruising and car shows.
Thank you all for choosing this truck for your 2010 calendar.
